METHACID OPTIMIX

METHACID OPTIMIX is a liquid premix, containing preservatives additive, developed to control pathogens and improve shelf life of forages and flour. METHACID OPTIMIX has been formulated to reduce the corrosivity of the acids and improve the end user’s compliance. Mistakes in stock procedure, problem with silage fermentation, raw materials or feed can lead to digestive disorders caused by pathogens such as: Salmonella, Campylobacter, Coli etc. METHACID OPTIMIX has been created to reduce the bacterial charge in drinking water, in feed and in raw materials. The mix of its ingredients creates added value compared with single acidifier, thanks to the synergic effects of all the ingredients. METHACID OPTIMIX acts indirectly reducing the pH of the feed but also in a direct way thanks to the specific antimicrobial activity of the formate. The un-dissociated form of the formate is able to penetrate the cell membrane and dissociates once inside the cell.
